I first scribbled stories in my spare time as a child, and in recent years I have returned to creative writing. I’m currently writing a middle-grade (9-12 years’ old) historical novel with a working title of The Impossible Inventions of Merry North, which won me a place on the Golden Egg Academy’s Story Foundations and Work on your Novel courses.
I am currently studying for an MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University. For this, I’m working on another middle-grade project, this time a time-slip novel, with a working title of Coral and Grey. My manuscript tutor is CJ Skuse.
At the end of 2021, I was awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice Grant by Arts Council England to develop my writing as a children’s author.
I’ve also enjoyed exploring creative non-fiction and memoir, both on Lily Dunn’s London Lit Lab memoir course and as part of her post-MA critique group. I recently published my piece about Covid and grief on Medium.
